Used safely, condoms prevent sperm fluid from getting into your partner’s body, thus protecting you from unintentionally becoming a father or mother.
Your health is just as important. Condoms are good protection against many pathogens – and we’re not just talking about HIV (the virus that can trigger AIDS) – but also protect better against other germs.
This also applies to sex among boys.
Protection has to do with respect. Using a condom shows that you know and take on responsibility: For you and for your girl friend or boy friend.
If someone absolutely wants to have sex with you but without a condom, you should ask yourself whether you really mean something to this person and whether he/she respects you.
